My name is Rebecca, I am based in Glasgow and available for weddings and naming ceremonies across the Central Belt and beyond!
I became a Celebrant in 2023 after choosing a Humanist ceremony for my own wedding as well as for my Grandmothers funeral and Naming Ceremony for my daughter. I fell in love with the creative process of writing and delivering ceremonies that bring people together to create beautiful moments to be remembered forever.
Humanism is about cherishing the ties that bind us rather than divide us and places people at the heart of its practice. It is a privilege to be chosen as someone’s celebrant and as such my goal is to work with you to craft a ceremony that feels authentic and meaningful to you.
My style is confident, warm, inclusive and with a touch of humour and can be adapted to the most intimate or grandest of settings. I know from my own experience that it is the details special to you and yours that truly bring a ceremony to life and I find joy in helping shape a ceremony that is truly bespoke.
I have 10 years of public speaking and speech writing experience, being a finalist and winner in several public speaking competitions over the years as well as writing and performing my own material. I know from my own Humanist life ceremonies that the beauty of them is in capturing the smallest of details and ethereal emotions that happen when people come together to celebrate love and my role is to help you capture those in the script and to be shared with your guests.

There is no such thing as “too early” to contact me in the process of planning, most weddings now book at least a year in advance but at minimum I would recommend allowing at least 2-3 months out from the date to ensure availability and time to write your script.
My rates are in compliance with standard CHA guidelines and a deposit is require to secure your date after this point with full payment expected four weeks prior to your ceremony date.
To continue we then have a meeting either in person or over zoom where you can share your vision for your ceremony, what stories you would like to tell, what symbolic gestures you would like to include, and get a firm understanding of what is important to you. From this I will create a script that brings all these elements together into a ceremony that will only ever be conducted once!
Depending on the timings of your ceremony it will then take four to six weeks to deliver your script for feedback and a further two weeks to allow for edits.
You will always be presented with a final version of your script to ensure all details are present and correct ahead of the big day!
