Sarah Pomfret
Hi, I’m Sarah and I’m based on the beautiful and picturesque Isle of Arran on the west coast of Scotland.
I’m originally from Arran but, for over 20 years, I was based in Glasgow working in international business development and relationship management for Scottish Enterprise.
My corporate career saw me spend much of my time travelling and living overseas, planning and speaking at events and preparing briefings and speeches for senior businesspeople and politicians (creative writing often required!). So, I've honed my planning skills well and know how to work under pressure!
I've now moved back home with my husband Joel - also from Arran – and our wee dog, Margaret, and we're involved in hospitality and catering businesses both here and in Glasgow. I also do some voiceover work for TV and radio on the side...when time allows!
I was an independent civil celebrant for 4 years before joining the Caledonian Humanist Association and I absolutely love delivering ceremonies and being part of a couple’s special day.
As a celebrant, I create and deliver unique and personalised ceremonies for weddings, vow renewals, baby naming ceremonies, civil partnerships.... anything really!
In creating the ceremony, I'll work with you both to learn all about your story and make sure that the script really reflects your personalities and is customised specifically to YOU.
Although I'm based on Arran, I’m happy to travel anywhere within Scotland to lead your ceremony.
